What is liquid gold?

In my kitchen liquid gold is Chocolate Ganache!

What's chocolate ganache? Well the correct answer is that its more than one thing. Its a beautiful shiny chocolate glaze for a cake or cupcake, Its a light and creamy frosting for a cake or cupcake, its a frosting that you can easily pipe, and add it to whipped cream and it will become a rich, creamy mousse.

How hard is it to make?

Surprisingly, its quite simple to make. It requires only two ingredients.

Here is the non-dairy recipe that I use.


Chocolate Ganache Recipe

9 oz. (255 grams) dark chocolate (I use Elite 60%)

8 oz. cream (I use barista style oat milk)

optional: 1 Tbsp. corn syrup, 1 tsp. vanilla


Chop the chocolate into small pieces.

Place in bowl

Heat cream to steaming (just before boiling)

Pour over chocolate

Add optional ingredients

let sit about one minute

stir until all the chocolate is completely melted.
